Sacramento, CA (March 11, 2023) – A pedestrian was transported to a local hospital for the treatment of injuries following a car crash that took place on the north side of Sacramento.

At approximately 10:40 p.m. on March 9, California Highway Patrol troopers received a call requesting assistance at the scene of an accident on Madison Avenue.

Reports provided by CHP show that a pedestrian was standing near a vehicle on Madison Avenue at the intersection of Hillsdale Boulevard. For unknown reasons, a second vehicle came up behind the stopped vehicle and struck it. The impact caused the pedestrian to be struck by the stopped vehicle.

The pedestrian was injured as a result of the accident. The pedestrian was transported by ambulance to Mercy San Juan Medical Center for emergency care.

The California Highway Patrol troopers are investigating the accident.
