Car Accidents in California
Car accidents are reported every single day in California that have devastating impacts on the lives of those involved. Regrettably, it is also common for victims to suffer severe trauma to the head, broken bones, and other significant injuries that require extensive medical treatment.
In the aftermath of an accident, many victims struggled to move forward. Many victims are unaware of the legal options that they have. After being hurt in a car accident, victims have the ability to file personal injury claims against those who are responsible. A personal injury claim is designed to provide financial relief and justice to affected victims.
When filing a personal injury claim, you must clearly demonstrate that the other driver was at fault for the accident. You must be able to prove that they owed you a duty of care and that they breached it in some way. Breaching the duty of care can be done by speeding, driving while impaired, or while engaging in another reckless action. After proving this, you must be able to demonstrate that the act of negligence was the cause of the accident. You must then demonstrate that you suffered damages due to the accident taking place. Damages could be anything from medical costs to lost wages, pain and suffering, or even the cost to repair or replace your vehicle.
