Car Accidents in California
Motor vehicle collisions in California are the cause of hundreds of thousands of injuries each year. Unfortunately, many people suffer needlessly as a result of motorists who are negligent and careless in the operation of their vehicles. When drivers fail to maintain a safe speed, switch lanes recklessly, and tailgate other vehicles, they can cause significant motor vehicle accidents that leave people were devastating and life-changing injuries. Common types of crashes that are reported in our state include:
- Left-turn accidents: Accidents of this type typically take place when a vehicle turns left at an intersection without first checking to see if there is incoming traffic. On the other hand, motorists who turn left without looking quite frequently cause collisions with other commuters, including bicyclists, pedestrians, and motorcyclists.
- Intersection accidents: Over 50% of serious accidents reported in California take place at busy intersections. In most cases, these accidents take place as a result of driver negligence. When drivers blow through stop signs or pass red lights, they are likely to strike other vehicles traveling nearby.
These types of accidents often have overwhelming outcomes for those involved. Victims are often left with painful injuries that require medical care. It is unfortunately common for victims to suffer from spinal cord injuries, compound fractures, and even neck and soft tissue injuries as a result of automobile accidents. Dealing with the aftermath of a motor vehicle accident can be incredibly challenging. However, victims do not have to go through this process alone.
