Fatal Car Accidents in California
Intersections are the location of more than 50 percent of accidents in our state. Every day, accidents take place at these dangerous locations. In the Los Angeles area, we see a significant number of accidents take place at busy intersections for a variety of reasons.
One of the most common factors in these accidents is drivers who are speeding. When drivers are traveling at too high of a rate of speed, they may not be able to stop in time for a light change at an intersection.
Another common factor in intersection accidents is drivers who fail to stop at stop signs. Stop signs are designed to allow people to travel through the intersection safely and without the risk of being harmed. Unfortunately, drivers run these stop signs every day and cause serious injuries to other drivers sharing the road.
Finally, running red lights at intersections is another common factor in many of the accidents that take place at our state’s intersections. Much like stop signs, red lights, and traffic control devices are designed to allow people to pass through various intersections without being at risk of being harmed. Unfortunately, drivers continue to pass these traffic control devices and cause severe injuries to others.
The sudden and unexpected loss of a loved one as a result of a fatal intersection accident can be incredibly difficult to deal with.
