Car Accidents in California
Car accidents frequently occur in California. Many of these accidents leave victims with debilitating injuries that continue to impact their health and well-being forever. The unfortunate truth is that the majority of accidents that take place in California are entirely preventable. Innocent people continue to be left with significant injuries as a result of drivers who are reckless and negligent. Leading factors in automobile accidents across our state include:
- Distracted drivers who fail to pay attention to the road ahead while operating their vehicles.
- Drivers who are using drugs or consume alcohol before entering the road.
- Drivers who fail to yield the right-of-way to other motorists.
- Drivers who turn without checking for other vehicles in the area.
- Drivers who run red lights or pass stop signs at the intersection.
These acts of negligence, and others, continue to contribute to a significant amount of motor vehicle accidents here in California every year. The unfortunate truth is that we see many victims forced to deal with the mental, physical, and financial consequences of motor vehicle accidents. After a car crash, victims not only have to deal with tens of thousands of dollars in medical care costs, but they often had to pay the money to repair or replace the vehicle. In addition, they are often forced out of work and unable to earn the income that they need to support themselves and their families.
In California, car crash victims have legal options available to help them move forward. It is in a victim’s best interest to act quickly after suffering serious injuries in a car crash in order to protect their legal rights.
