Phelan, CA (March 12, 2023) – A major motor vehicle accident took place in Phelan on Saturday morning that prompted the response of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
The accident happened at Phelan Road just after 7:00 a.m. on March 11.
According to reports, a dark-gray Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck collided with a white Jeep Cherokee on Phelan Road at the intersection of Sheep Creek Road.
Emergency crews throughout San Bernardino County responded to the scene of the accident to provide assistance.
One person had to be extricated from their vehicle by firefighters with the San Bernardino County Fire Department after becoming trapped inside.
A medical helicopter was requested at the scene of the accident to transport one victim to Antelope Valley Medical Center for emergency medical care. Two other victims involved in the crash were transported to a local hospital by ambulance.
The circumstances surrounding the accident are currently being investigated.
