Car Accidents in California
Every day, serious car accidents are reported in the state of California that leave victims with injuries that change their lives forever. Suffering the spinal cord can leave you completely paralyzed and unable to walk or even use your arms in some cases. Many victims of car crashes are left with internal organ injuries that require them to undergo emergency surgery and force them onto medication forever. We also see many accidents leave victims with severe compound fractures. These injuries can require surgery and extensive therapy.
The unfortunate truth is that many victims suffer these and other serious injuries and accidents due to the negligence of others. Leading causes of car accidents in our state include:
Impairment: Drivers who are under the influence typically make more irresponsible decisions while operating their vehicles. As a result, they are likely to crash into others and cause serious harm to them.
Distractions: We have seen a dramatic increase in the number of people who use cell phones across the state of California. Unfortunately, when they use cell phones while behind the wheel, it can cause them to crash into other vehicles.
Speeding: Drivers who travel above the posted speed limits often have a difficult time maintaining control of their vehicles. As a result, they are more likely to cause serious accidents that leave innocent people severely hurt.
After being injured in an accident due to the negligence of another driver, victims are able to take legal action. Personal injury claims are designed to allow them to hold negligent drivers accountable and get justice.
