Albany, CA (March 15, 2023) – Just after 9:10 p.m. on March 13, California Highway Patrol troopers were called to the scene of an accident involving two vehicles that sent one person to a local hospital with injuries.
According to CHP reports, two vehicles collided on the 80 Freeway in the area just west of Buchanan Street. The Highway Patrol troopers responded to the scene and closed off lanes one, two, and three on the highway. Tow trucks were notified that they were needed at the scene to remove both of the vehicles due to the damage they suffered.
Paramedics were called to the scene to care for injured victims. One person was transported to a local hospital for further medical care.
The crash is being investigated at this time by California Highway Patrol.
