Car Accidents in California
Hundreds of thousands of accidents are reported in California every year. Many of these accidents result in serious injuries for those involved. Unfortunately, many accidents that we see here in California are a result of negligence. Some of the most common types of collisions reported in our state include:
- Rear-end collisions: There are so many instances where people crash into the rear of other vehicles. These accidents are often devastating and are one of the leading causes of neck and soft tissue injuries. Regrettably, rear-end accidents are often a result of distractions, impairment, and mechanical defects.
- Sideswipe accidents: Sideswipe accidents occur when one vehicle drifts into the side of another vehicle. These accidents often occur as a result of drivers who are distracted by their phones or by other means. Divers have failed to maintain a single lane and continue to cause harm to innocent people every day.
- T-bone or broadside accidents: These accidents often result in vehicles rolling over due to the point of impact. When one vehicle strikes another vehicle on its side, it can throw the vehicle off balance and cause it to tip over. T-bone accidents are often devastating due to the fact that drivers or their passengers are struck on the side and can be left with serious injuries
These and other types of accidents have the potential to cause serious harm to innocent people. Regrettably, we see many victims hospitalize with trauma to the head, internal organ injuries, and other severe injuries that require extensive medical intervention. Unfortunately, the costs of medical treatment for these and other injuries can be significant. In California, car crash victims have the ability to file legal claims against the responsible party. Taking legal action quickly can provide you with the best chance of getting the money you need for the damages resulting from your crash.
