Sacramento, CA (March 15, 2023) – On March 13, California Highway Patrol troopers were called to the scene of an automobile accident that took place on the east side of Sacramento that resulted in injuries.
At approximately 5:20 p.m., first responders were notified that a crash had occurred on Sunrise Boulevard.
Reports show that a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on the roadway near Gold Express Drive. Highway Patrol troopers responded to the scene and closed off a large section of the intersection as medics tended to the victim.
The pedestrian suffered major injuries in the crash and was rushed to a local hospital.
The incident remains under investigation.
