Sutton A. Shapiro, Esq.
With over 10 years of legal experience, Sutton A. Shapiro always knew he wanted to practice law in the service of others.
Sutton began his career as an attorney working for some of the largest and most powerful personal injury defense firms in the country. During his time there he became disillusioned with the tactics employed by the firm’s big business clients in order to skirt their obligations to their customers. These clients, which included well-known insurance and trucking companies consistently attempted to put profits over people. He also noticed how often he came across the Wilshire Law Firm name on behalf of injured plaintiffs in these cases.
Upon meeting and befriending some of the attorneys at Wilshire Law Firm, Sutton realized that true career fulfillment would be found here, at one of the top personal injury plaintiff firms, advocating for the injured.
As a pure litigator, Sutton believes it’s important to see a client as a person, not a case. Sutton prioritizes his relationships with his clients, getting to know them on a personal level and ensuring good communication throughout the course of their case and beyond. He makes sure every one of his clients actively participates in and understands the legal process. He provides total transparency by keeping clients informed and being available to them 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Sutton’s dedication to his clients has resulted in life-changing settlements and verdicts on their behalf. His wealth of knowledge, along with his zealous and ethical approach to litigation have been the cornerstones of his ability to maximize the value of an injured client’s case. Sutton has extensive experience with brain injuries and the psychological trauma associated with an injury. Sutton understands that the value to an injured plaintiff’s case does not stop with the damages you can see on an X-ray or MRI, but with the pain, anxiety, depression, fear, and sadness you cannot see on any diagnostic image.
A native Angelino, Mr. Shapiro completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara and was awarded his Juris Doctor from the University of La Verne College of Law.
