Endue Software, a Portland, Maine based technology company, has confirmed a significant data breach that affected over 118,000 individuals following an external cyberattack in early 2025.

What Happened?

According to a formal notification submitted by Brian Brett, CEO of Endue Software, the breach occurred on February 16, 2025 and was discovered on March 31, 2025. Written notifications to impacted consumers were issued on April 11, 2025.

Upon learning of the activity, Endue Software immediately took steps to secure their environment and began an investigation to determine the nature and scope of the activity. The investigation determined the activity was the result of a cybersecurity event and an unauthorized actor accessed certain computer systems for a brief period of time on February 16, 2025.

During this time, files from certain internal systems were copied. As a result, the company undertook an extensive review of the involved files to determine whether they contained sensitive information, to whom the information relates, and to which clients affected individuals’ information was provided from.

Written notifications to impacted consumers were issued on April 11, 2025.
