LexisNexis Risk Solutions Data Breach

LexisNexis Risk Solutions (LNRS), a prominent data analytics and risk management firm, has confirmed a significant data breach that compromised the personal information of 364,333 individuals.

What Happened

On April 1, 2025, LNRS learned that an unauthorized third party acquired certain LNRS data from a third-party platform used for software development on December 25, 2024. The issue did not affect LNRS’s own networks or systems. Based on their review of the impacted data, LNRS has determined that certain personal information was affected.

Details of the LexisNexis Data Breach

The types of impacted personal information varied by affected individual, but may include:

  • Name
  • Contact Information (such as phone number, postal or email address)
  • Social Security Number
  • Driver’s License Number
  • Date of Birth

LNRS says that no financial or credit card information was affected and that they have no evidence that personal data has been “further misused.”

To mitigate the potential harm caused by this breach, LexisNexis is offering 24 months of complimentary credit monitoring and identity protection services through Experian.
