Car Crashes in Boyle Heights Taco Stand
UPDATE: Maribel Rosas, 34, was arrested in connection with the fatal crash. Investigators said that she was drunk and fell asleep before driving into the taco stand. She faces a vehicular manslaughter charge.
On the night of June 26, a car ran into a portable taco stand in Boyle Heights, killing one person and injuring nine others, two critically.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the fatal pedestrian accident happened at 376 S. Clarence St. The car hit several parked vehicles in addition to the taco stand.
