Late night August 13, one person was killed after a chain-reaction auto accident on southbound Interstate Highway 880, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The fatal collision occurred about 11:30 p.m. near the Interstate Highway 238 interchange. Officials said that a vehicle lost control and hit the center divide and guard rail, triggering the chain-reaction accident.
One person was killed and another person was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
“More details will be released pending an investigation which is currently underway,” said a representative of Wilshire Law Firm.
