On the evening of August 22, one person was hospitalized after a Carlsbad accident involving three vehicles, according to police.
The car crash occurred about 6:42 p.m. at the intersection of Palomar Airport Road and Armada Drive.
Investigators believe that the 20-year-old driver of a 2007 Acura MDX turned left against a red light, which led to a collision with a 1994 Chevrolet Suburban and a 2013 Volvo sedan.
The driver of the Suburban was taken to Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla for treatment.
“Investigators did not immediately suspect alcohol, drugs or distracted driving to be factors in the incident, but the investigation is still ongoing at this time,” said a representative of Wilshire Law Firm.
