man killed in crash on bear mountain boulevard
Early July 26, a 22-year-old man was killed in an auto accident involving a semi truck on Bear Mountain Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

The fatal victim was heading east on Bear Mountain Boulevard, a two-lane truck route, when another vehicle made an ill-advised attempt to pass the big rig that was headed west. Without clearance to pass the truck, the third vehicle forced the victim to swerve out of its way and into the path of the semi. The victim’s vehicle was broadsided, and he died at the scene.

Nobody else was injured.

The truck driver remained at the scene and was cooperative with officials.

The third vehicle left the scene. Investigators are trying to identify and locate the vehicle and the driver.

“If you have any information about the third vehicle, please call the CHP at (661) 864-4444,” said a representative of Wilshire Law Firm.
