Just before midnight on July 15, three people were killed in a Modesto hit-and-run crash involving a Jaguar, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
A 2003 Honda CR-V was stopped at Tully Road and Kiernan Avenue when the Jaguar, traveling at an unsafe speed, slammed into the rear of the Honda. Upon impact, both vehicles caught fire.
The driver and two passengers of the Honda were unable to escape the burning vehicle. They were declared dead at the scene.
The driver of the Jaguar fled the scene. At this time, the driver’s identity is still unknown.
“At this time, an investigation is underway,” said a representative of Wilshire Law Firm. “It is our hope that the driver of the Jaguar is found and swiftly brought to justice.”
