On the afternoon of August 11, six people were injured after a fiery bus crash in a rural part of Santa Barbara County, according to officials.
The bus accident occurred about 3 p.m. near Highway 135 and Graciosa Road, just south of Orcutt. For reasons yet unknown, a converted school bus carrying more than two dozen farmworkers went off the road and struck a tree. The bus soon became engulfed in flames.
Six people were taken to a hospital with minor to major injuries.
“At this time, investigators are still determining the cause of this bus accident,” said a representative of Wilshire Law Firm.
