According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), a 2014 Toyota Prius rear-ended a disabled 1996 GMC Suburban SUV just south of Gorman, causing it to overturn.
The SUV had the children and two women inside. The children all suffered minor injuries. One of the women, 53-year-old Lucilla Flores, was critically injured. The other woman, 29-year-old Artima Gomez Flores, sustained moderate injuries.
The driver of the Prius, Richard Walton Wise, was also critically injured.
“At this time, an investigation is underway,” said a representative of Wilshire Law Firm.
