Joshua Tree Resident Killed in Palm Springs Accident
On October 11, 23-year-old Joshua Tree resident James Brown suffered fatal injuries in a Palm Springs car accident, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The fatal crash occurred about 2 a.m. A sedan was traveling south on Gene Autry Trail when a eastbound pickup truck slammed into it.
Brown, who was a passenger in the sedan, was taken to Desert Regional Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his wounds. Both drivers sustained only minor injuries.
The driver of the pickup truck, 29-year-old Cathedral City resident Austin Ulshafer, was later arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI).
“At this time, an investigation is underway,” said a representative of Wilshire Law Firm. “We express our condolences to Brown’s loved ones and hope that they get justice.”
