Motorcyclist Killed in Diamond Bar Crash on 60 Freeway
On the afternoon of June 16, a man was killed in a motorcycle crash on the 60 Freeway in Diamond Bar, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The motorcyclist, identified as Ivan Galindo, 24, of Pomona, was traveling eastbound on a 2015 Kawasaki Ninja at an unknown speed when he struck the rear of a 2005 Saturn Ion in front of him. The initial impact caused him to veer into the left rear fender of a 1999 Westar cement mixer. He was subsequently ejected from his motorcycle and onto the concrete roadway, sustaining major injuries.
Neither the driver of the Saturn nor the driver of the cement mixer suffered any injury.
At the time of this report, the investigation is still ongoing. Any witnesses are encouraged to come forward and report to Officer Back at the CHP’s Baldwin Park area office.
