On the early morning of June 8, a big rig jackknifed and overturned on southbound Highway 14 near Agua Dulce, shutting down traffic for several hours, according to the California Highway patrol (CHP).
The truck accident occurred at around 4 a.m. south of Escondido Canyon Road. Southbound commuters were blocked and forced to make detours off of the freeway. Northbound commuters were not affected.
Eventually, crews were able to move the overturned big rig over to the right shoulder, and all lanes reopened about 1:15 p.m.
At this time, investigators are still determining the cause of the big rig crash.
