Simi Valley Motorcyclist Killed in Highway 118 Crash
On the afternoon of June 18, a 61-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a collision on Highway 118.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the fatal motorcycle crash occurred about 2:20 p.m. west of Rocky Peak Road.
The motorcyclist was heading eastbound when a nearby vehicle veered two lanes to the left, directly into his path. He hit the back of the vehicle and was ejected. The rider, a Simi Valley resident, died at the scene.
Investigators said that the vehicle that hit the motorcyclist lost control due to a flat tire.
Any witnesses are encouraged to come forward and report to the Moorpark area CHP office.
