On the afternoon of October 11, five students ended up in the hospital after being struck by an SUV in Sylmar, according to officials.
The pedestrian accident occurred at around 2:15 p.m. in a school parking lot connecting Lakeview Charter High School and Triumph Charter Academy.
The SUV crashed into a minivan before “brushing” the students.
All five students and one of the drivers sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the SUV claims that the gas pedal had become stuck.
“At this time, an investigation is underway,” said a representative of Wilshire Law Firm.
