man killed in sr-79 bicycle accident involving pickup truck
On the morning of July 12, a 25-year-old Winchester man on a mountain bike was rear-ended and killed by a pickup truck driver on SR-79, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

Officials said that the fatal bicycle accident occurred about 3:18 a.m. on the southbound side of SR-79 near Patterson Avenue.

Zachariah Doll was riding his bicycle when a 1996 Chevrolet truck driven by a San Jacinto man slammed into him.

Doll was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver was uninjured.

“An investigation of this tragic bicycle crash is underway,” said a representative of Wilshire Law Firm.
