Patrick O’Connor is a Senior Trial Attorney at Wilshire Law Firm, specializing in Consumer Class Actions. With seven years of legal experience, Patrick has built a reputation for winning results in the courtroom through his relentless commitment to his clients.
Patrick earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz, before attending the University of Southern California for law school. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a passion for advocacy, which was ignited during his teenage years when he participated in mock trial. From that early experience, he developed a deep love for the courtroom, recognizing it as the place where his skills as a strategist and advocate could make the greatest impact.
One of Patrick’s proudest moments came early in his career working as a public defender. He represented a working father facing DUI charges that threatened his DACA status and could have resulted in deportation. The county crime lab said the client’s blood-alcohol level was four times the legal limit. Through tireless investigation and a calculated trial plan, Patrick showed the jury that the blood testing was severely flawed. His client was acquitted of all charges. This case reinforced his belief in the importance of leaving no stone unturned in the pursuit of justice.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and young son, staying active through surfing, rock climbing, and running. He also gives back to the legal community by coaching mock trial at UCLA, sharing his knowledge and passion with future attorneys.
