Rita Mims is the Chief Operating Officer and leads the executive team and the firm’s operations across all Wilshire Law Firm locations. Centrally responsible for the business activities of over 600 team members at the firm, Rita oversees the successful execution of the firm’s day-to-day operations, ensuring that clients receive legal services that consistently exceed their expectations.
Rita possesses a diverse and extensive legal background that has allowed her to develop and implement creative growth opportunities at Wilshire Law Firm while streamlining business processes. She plays a critical role in allowing the firm to function efficiently and operate at the highest possible standard daily. With more than 20 years of significant experience in the legal field, Rita’s leadership has proven instrumental in helping Wilshire Law Firm secure a roster of talented litigators and team members. Her comprehensive legal industry knowledge has allowed her to solve complex financial, resource, and risk management issues for the firm, while excelling at communicating difficult concepts in an easy-to-comprehend manner.
Rita graduated from San Francisco State University with a Speech Communication Studies degree before obtaining her Paralegal Certificate from New York University. She also holds a Master of Arts in Humanities with an Emphasis in History and Political Science from Mount Saint Mary’s University in Los Angeles.
Rita is an esteemed member of several legal associations, including the Greater Los Angeles Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators (GLAALA), the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA), and the California Employment Lawyers Association (CELA). Additionally, Rita is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and serves on the Board of Directors for Los Angeles Southwest College Foundation.
