Edwin S. Salguero, Esq., brings a wealth of experience and an unwavering commitment to justice to Wilshire Law Firm. Specializing in Personal Injury and Wrongful Death, Edwin has been practicing law for 2.5 years and draws on an extensive background as a mediator, educator, and mental health professional. His diverse professional journey informs his empathetic and determined approach to client advocacy.
Edwin earned his Bachelor’s degree from California State University, Northridge, and his Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles. During law school, Edwin was deeply involved with the Loyola Center for Conflict Resolution (LCCR), where he mediated disputes and supported vulnerable residents of Los Angeles County. His outstanding contributions led to a historic appointment as LCCR’s first full-time Senior Conflict Resolution Associate while still a student.
One of Edwin’s most notable accomplishments came in September 2024 when he co-counseled his first trial, a civil rights case involving assaults on sidewalk food vendors. His advocacy secured a unanimous $2,836,800 verdict, giving voice to marginalized individuals striving to provide for their families. This achievement exemplifies Edwin’s dedication to standing up for those who face systemic inequities.
Edwin’s professional philosophy centers on compassionate and steadfast support for his clients. As he puts it, “Every individual deserves compassionate advocacy and steadfast support, no matter the hour or the obstacles in the way.” This belief reflects his tireless commitment to ensuring justice for those he represents.
Edwin’s inspiration to pursue law is deeply rooted in his upbringing. Raised in Los Angeles’ Westlake area by a single mother who fled the civil war in El Salvador, he witnessed resilience and courage firsthand. His experiences in special education and mental health further illuminated the systemic challenges faced by marginalized communities and inspired him to seek broader impact through law.
Beyond his legal career, Edwin is dedicated to mentorship and community service. He has been an active participant in the “Just the Beginning” program since 2019, teaching negotiation skills, mentoring aspiring law students, and judging annual competitions. He also enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, camping, hiking, running, and snowboarding.
Edwin’s personal and professional journey is guided by his belief in the power of perseverance and advocacy, encapsulated in his favorite quote: “Be the change that you wish to see in the world.”
