Mariam Nazaretyan, Esq.

Associate Attorney

Mariam Nazaretyan, Esq., is an Associate Attorney with a background in International Humanitarian Law and Employment Law, who brings years of legal experience to her practice. She obtained her degrees from Loyola Marymount University and Southwestern Law School, laying a solid foundation for her career.

With a passion for advocating on behalf of employees’ rights, Mariam represents employees who were unfairly treated at the workplace. She has navigated complex legal issues related to workplace discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and wage and hour disputes. However, it is her commitment to justice outside of the courtroom that truly set her apart.

At the outset of her legal journey, Mariam co-founded a non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for victims of war crimes. Over the span of two years, Mariam conducted interviews with various witnesses, including survivors of drone strikes, returned prisoners of war, and families of missing soldiers. The evidence she meticulously gathered became instrumental in legal proceedings before esteemed institutions like the International Court of Justice.

Mariam’s dedication also extends beyond advocacy. Recognizing the importance of education in fostering lasting change, she established a clinical program in Armenia. Through this initiative, Mariam has had the privilege of instructing up to 50 law students, imparting invaluable knowledge on international law, rules of evidence, and the delicate art of interviewing witnesses and victims of war crimes.

Throughout her journey, Mariam has remained guided by a profound belief in the interconnectedness of justice. This philosophy finds expression in her personal credo inspired by the words of Martin Luther King Jr.;

“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”

Mariam continues to advocate tirelessly for the rights of the oppressed and marginalized, ensuring that their voices are heard, and their grievances addressed. In every case she undertakes, Mariam’s unwavering commitment to fairness and equity serves as hope in a world too often plagued by conflict and inequality.
