Fatal Car Accidents in California
Statistics from 2021 show that more than 3800 people died as a result of fatal automobile accidents in the state of California. Far too often, these accidents can be attributed to negligent and reckless actions on behalf of motorists.
One of the leading causes of collisions in our state is drivers who are speeding. Speeding motorists are likely to lose control of their vehicles and crash into others. Unfortunately, when drivers are traveling at a high rate of speed, the chances of fatal injuries are dramatically increased due to the impact of the collision. Intoxication is another leading factor in many accidents that we see in California that take the lives of innocent people. Impaired drivers simply do not have the capability of making responsible decisions while operating their vehicles. As a result, they are more likely to crash into others nearby.
We also see a number of accidents take place as a result of drivers who fail to yield. Entering onto our highways can be incredibly dangerous, especially if you do not wait for other vehicles to pass by and wait your turn. Unfortunately, we see many accidents take place as a result of drivers who fail to yield and quickly merge onto roadways where other vehicles are traveling.
