Car Accidents in California
Car accidents take place daily in California. These accidents leave hundreds of people injured on an annual basis. In many cases, these accidents can be attributed to some form of negligence. Leading factors in California car crashes include:
- Speeding drivers: drivers who travel above the posted speed limit continue to be one of the leading factors in motor vehicle accidents across our state. Speeding drivers are more likely to lose control of their vehicles and crash into innocent people.
- Drivers who fail to yield: when drivers switch lanes, enter roadways, or engage in various other actions, it is crucial that they yield the right-of-way to other motorists. When drivers fail to do so, they can crash into other vehicles and cause serious harm.
- Drivers who pass stop signs: it is important that drivers stop at stop signs whenever they approach intersections. When drivers fail to do so, they can pass through and strike other vehicles.
- Drivers who run red lights: intersections across our state have red lights to provide vehicles with the ability to pass safely. Unfortunately, there are many cases where drivers fail to stop at these red lights and crash into another vehicle. Intersection accidents are more likely to result in rollovers.
Every day, these and other acts of negligence continue to contribute to car crashes here in California. When victims are harmed as a result of accidents, they are often forced to deal with significant financial burdens in addition to the mental and emotional consequences they face.
