Car Accidents in California

San Diego, CA – 805 Freeway Crash near 8 Freeway Ends in InjuriesCar accidents can be incredibly debilitating. Suffering from painful physical, emotional, and financial impacts is not something we are able to prepare for. Unfortunately, many of the accidents that take place here in California are entirely preventable. Leading factors in car crashes include:

  • Operate their vehicles while intoxicated: drivers who are under the influence of alcohol are likely to fall asleep while behind the wheel. Impairment not only affects a person’s ability to remain in control of their vehicle, but it can also result in them having impaired judgment and an inability to recognize colors and traffic control devices nearby.
  • Operate their vehicles while high on drugs: drivers who are under the influence of drugs can experience much of the same impairment judgment in inabilities as those who are under the influence of alcohol. These intoxicants can make it incredibly difficult for drivers to safely maintain control of their vehicles. They can also result in them passing out while behind the wheel.
  • Operate their vehicles while too tired: drivers who are too tired to operate their vehicles are likely to fall asleep. Drowsy drivers are one of the most common causes of crashes in our state and can lead to people crashing into other vehicles in the area.

Regrettably, these and other acts of negligence contributed to a significant number of car crashes in our state. If you have suffered injuries due to the negligent actions of another motorist, you may be able to take legal action. A personal injury claim can help you recover compensation for some of the damages you face.
