Pedestrian Accidents in California
In California, motor vehicle crashes take place every single day that leave pedestrians with serious and debilitating injuries. It is also common for victims to be hospitalized with traumatic brain injuries, internal organ injuries, and even severe compound fractures. Unfortunately, these and other serious injuries can have an overwhelming impact on the lives of those harmed.
In many cases, people suffer these and other injuries due to negligent and reckless drivers who are sharing the road. In the event that you have suffered injuries in a motor vehicle accident caused by the negligence of another driver, you can file a personal injury claim against them for compensation. This type of legal claim can provide you with financial relief for some of the damages that you face. These include:
- Any money that you need for long-term care costs in future medical needs. This can include medical devices, rehabilitation and therapy, and more.
- The money to repair or replace your vehicle.
- Any money to cover the pain and suffering that you have experienced from your accident. This is based on the impact that your injuries and the medical care that you require have had on your quality of life.
- And more.
To recover these and other damages, you must be able to demonstrate that the negligence of the other driver caused the accident to take place and that the accident caused these damages for you.
