El Cajon, CA (March 14, 2023) – At 8:20 p.m. on March 12, the California Highway Patrol troopers were called to the scene of an automobile accident that claimed one pedestrian’s life.
According to reports from CHP, a pedestrian was struck by a beige Kia Cadenza while traveling westbound on Interstate 80 near West Main Street.
The pedestrian was located lying on the ground on the right side of the road. Three vehicles in the area stopped to provide assistance.
The man suffered injuries as a result of the accident. Emergency services responded to the scene to provide assistance.
The victim was treated at the scene. However, he passed away from his injuries before he was able to be transported to a local hospital.
The incident remains under investigation soon.
