Fatal Pedestrian Accidents in California
More than 80 people lose their lives as a result of pedestrian accidents in California every month. In many cases, these accidents are a result of drivers who are careless and negligent in the operation of their vehicles. Unfortunately, no matter how safe and considerate pedestrians are, they can never prevent drivers from engaging in reckless actions while traveling near them.
As a result, we continue to see innocent people die as a result of crashes that are due to drivers who are speeding, under the influence, and those who fail to yield. When innocent people die due to these and other acts of negligence, they leave behind families who often struggle to move forward. Losing a loved one in a motor vehicle accident can be incredibly devastating. Knowing that your loved one died in a preventable accident that was caused by the inconsiderate and careless actions of another driver just makes the loss even more difficult to accept.
After the death of your loved one, California State allows bereaved families to file wrongful death claims against those who are responsible. These claims can help families secure financial compensation to cover funeral arrangements in a variety of other damages.
