Pedestrian Accidents in California

Sacramento, CA – Pedestrian Crash on Harrison St Ends in InjuriesPedestrians continue to suffer debilitating injuries and car accidents across our state every day. For the most part, these accidents are preventable. Thousands of pedestrians are left with life-altering injuries due to collisions caused by drivers who are reckless and negligent. When drivers run red lights, fail to yield, and engage in other negligent actions, they continue to cause harm to innocent parties nearby.

Due to the fact that pedestrians do not have anything to protect them during accidents, they are more likely to suffer serious injuries. Common injuries reported and serious pedestrian accidents include:

Broken bones: A broken bone can be incredibly painful to deal with. Many victims who suffer these injuries have to wear castes after going through surgery. Broken bones can require months of therapy and rehabilitation.

Internal organ injuries: Injuries to the internal organs can have a debilitating impact on a victim’s life. These injuries can be life-threatening, especially if they are not treated immediately.

Severe lacerations: Due to the fact that pedestrians are not inside vehicles, they are more likely to suffer severe cuts and lacerations. Road rash can be incredibly painful for pedestrians.

If you have been hurt as a result of the pedestrian accident, you may be able to take legal action. Filing a personal injury claim can help to ensure you have the resources needed for your medical care costs and more.
