Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (ACPHS) has announced a significant data breach affecting approximately 28,600 individuals. The breach was the result of an external cyberattack on the college’s systems and has prompted official notification to those impacted.

What Happened

On or about September 14, 2024, ACPHS detected unusual activity on their network as a result of a sophisticated cybersecurity incident. Following the detection of the incident, ACPHS immediately took steps to remediate the incident and ensure the security of their systems and commenced a thorough investigation.

As part of this investigation, they have been working closely with external cybersecurity professionals experienced in handling these types of incidents. The investigation determined that a limited amount of data was potentially accessed and acquired from their network between approximately August 31, 2024, to September 14, 2024.

Details of the ACPHS Data Breach:

On May 30, 2025, ACPHS confirmed that affected parties had their names and other personal identifying information leaked.
