Fatal Plane Accidents in California
In 2022, more than 170 people lost their lives as a result of plane crashes in the United States. Due to the force of the collision, these accidents are almost always extremely dangerous. Unfortunately, many of the plane crashes that take place all over the country could have been avoided. There are a number of elements that continue to play a role in the frequency of airplane crashes that we witness. The following are some of the most frequent:
- Errors committed by the pilots: Unfortunately, in many cases, the pilots are either not adequately trained to handle emergency situations, or they make mistakes that lead to the crash of the aircraft.
- Mechanical failure: Failure of the mechanical system can be caused by a variety of factors, including poor maintenance, bad weather, or defective parts, among other things.
- Inclement weather: If the weather is particularly severe, it could lead to the pilot losing control of the aircraft and causing it to crash.
- Errors made by an air traffic controller: Air traffic controllers are responsible for ensuring that aircraft remain safe while in the air and avoid colliding with one another. However, air traffic controllers are human and do make mistakes, which can ultimately result in catastrophic accidents.
