Monterey, CA (February 20, 2023) – At around 4:40 p.m. on February 19, the California Highway Patrol responded to provide assistance at the scene of a motor vehicle accident in Monterey that ended with injuries.
According to reports provided by CHP, a collision between three vehicles occurred on the southbound side of California State Route 1.
Authorities arrived at the scene of the roadway and blocked off the accident site, which was positioned just south of Rio Road.
Emergency crews worked quickly to remove the damage to vehicles and debris from the road.
Paramedics responded to provide treatment to victims and transport those who required further care to local hospitals.
The California Highway Patrol is currently investigating the accident.
