Oceanside, CA (February 21, 2023) – At 5:00 p.m. on February 20, troopers of the California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of an automobile accident in Oceanside that sent at least one person to an area hospital with injuries.
Calls for help were received regarding an automobile accident that occurred on the San Diego Freeway.
Preliminary reports show that a white Mazda CX9 and a black Honda four-door sedan collided on the northbound side of the freeway near Las Flores Road. The incident blocked the number one lane of travel on the roadway, causing some delays in the area.
Troopers rushed to the scene of the accident to provide assistance.
Towing companies in the surrounding area were responsible for removing the damaged vehicles off the roadway. The victims who had suffered injuries were attended to by the emergency medical personnel that had responded. At least one of the people involved in the collision was sent to a nearby hospital for additional medical attention.
The collision remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol at this time.
