Car Accidents in California
We see automobile accidents occur daily in California. Many of these accidents take place due to drivers who are reckless or negligent while operating their vehicles. Common causes of crashes that occur in our state include:
Speeding motorists: When drivers travel above the posted speed limit, they increase the risks of losing control and crashing into other vehicles or people nearby. Unfortunately, speeding can also increase the severity of all injuries suffered during collisions.
Running red lights: When motorists pass through red lights at intersections, they increase the likelihood of crashing into other vehicles that do have the right-of-way to go. Regrettably, these drivers often cause T-bone accidents that end in rollovers.
Distractions: Anything that takes the attention of a driver off the road ahead can have serious consequences. Every day, innocent people are hurt as a result of drivers who are texting on the phone or engaging in other reckless actions that take their attention off the road ahead.
Failure to yield: Drivers who fail to yield are another leading cause of accidents across our state. It is important that drivers are mindful of others when exiting driveways, entering roadways, or even switching lanes.
When drivers choose to act negligently while behind the wheel, they can cause serious harm to other people sharing the road.
