Santa Ana, CA (February 28, 2023) – On February 27, the California Highway Patrol out of District 12 responded to provide assistance at the scene of an auto accident that sent at least one of the involved parties to a local hospital with injuries.
At approximately 2:45 p.m., a black SUV and a semi-truck collided on the southbound side of California State Route 57. The incident blocked multiple lanes of travel on the roadway near the off-ramp for Orangewood Avenue.
California Highway Patrol troopers and firefighters out of Santa Ana responded to read assistance.
Emergency medical service personnel responded to treat the victims who suffered injuries. Those who required further assistance were transported to local hospitals.
The circumstances surrounding the accident are currently being investigated.
