Oakland, CA (March 5, 2023) – One person was transported to a local hospital for the treatment of injuries following a crash that took place in the Coliseum Industrial neighborhood of Oakland.

Just before 8:40 a.m. on March 3, the police and firefighters were called to the scene of a car crash that took place on 85th Avenue.

Preliminary reports indicate that a two-vehicle collision blocked 85th Avenue at the intersection of San Leandro Street. Authorities arrived at the scene and found a silver SUV and a black sedan that had collided on the road. The silver sedan came to rest on the shoulder of the roadway, while the black sedan came to rest on the sidewalk on the opposite side of the intersection.

Emergency crews immediately secured the area to prevent further damage.

One person was injured in the accident. The victim was treated at the scene and transported by ambulance to a local hospital.

The police department is currently investigating the incident.
