Placerville, CA (March 6, 2023) – On March 5, troopers with the California Highway Patrol were called to provide assistance on-site at a car crash that took place in Placerville and ended in injuries.
At approximately 2:12 p.m., troopers were notified that an automobile accident occurred on California State Route 193.
Authorities arrived at the scene of the accident and located a green Toyota tundra and a tan Honda SUV blocking both the east wound in the westbound lanes of travel on the highway. Authorities immediately went to work on closing the road in the area near brush N Rocks Lane.
Firefighters were called to the scene to provide assistance.
Tow trucks were called to remove the damaged vehicles from the road as the police and firefighters worked to remove the debris from the lanes of travel.
At least one person was transported to a local hospital for the treatment of injuries following the accident.
The incident remains under investigation by California Highway Patrol at this time.
