Huntington Beach, CA (March 7, 2023) – A motor vehicle accident took place in the Huntington Beach area on Monday morning that ended in injuries. The accident was reported to officials at around 11:00 a.m. on March 6.
According to Huntington Beach Police Department reports, three vehicles collided on Newland Street in the area of Yorktown Avenue. The incident involved a vehicle that the police were pursuing.
Investigations determined that two burglary suspects were attempting to break into vehicles in a parking lot near tower three. As a result, the people entered a vehicle and sped away from the scene. The police began to pursue them from behind, resulting in the suspect’s vehicle crossing into two other vehicles at the intersection.
Injuries were reported as a result of the accident. Emergency medical services responded to the scene to care for the victims.
