Fatal Truck Accidents in California
Every year, more than 388,000 truck accidents are reported in the United States. Of these total accidents, nearly 5000 of them are fatal. The sudden and unexpected loss of a loved one as a result of a fatal truck crash can be an incredibly exhausting experience to deal with. Families are often left to struggle to move forward.
After losing a loved one in any type of accident, families may struggle financially, mentally, and emotionally. In most cases, families are deprived of a source of income that they have grown to depend on. They may struggle emotionally and have problems coming up with the money they need for funeral costs and other expenses.
After losing a loved one, families are able to pursue wrongful death claims against the responsible party. When it comes to handling truck accident claims, they tend to be more complex. There are a few reasons for this. For one, insurance policies surrounding truck accidents are much larger than general automobile accident insurance policies. As a result, families are better able to secure full and fair compensation for all of the damages and losses that they face.
Additionally, there are several parties who can be held liable for truck accident damages. These can include the truck driver, the truck company, the owner of the truck, a cargo company, a maintenance company, a parts manufacturer, or even other drivers on the road. It is critical to identify who is liable for the accident in order to know the appropriate parties to take action against. Depending on the circumstances, several parties may be able to share liability. A skilled legal team can help you better determine who is liable for the damages that your family faces and get justice.
