Sacramento, CA (March 12, 2023) – One person was transported to a local hospital for the treatment of major injuries following a car crash that took place on Friday afternoon in the Sacramento area.
Troopers with the California Highway Patrol were summoned to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Iona Way at approximately 1:17 p.m. on March 10.
Crash reports indicate that two vehicles collided on Iona Way in the area near Elsie Avenue. The incident prompted officials to close off a large portion of the roadway while providing assistance at the scene.
One person suffered major injuries due to the motor vehicle accident. The victim was briefly treated at the scene by responding medical personnel and rushed to a local hospital for further care.
The circumstances surrounding the accident are currently being investigated.
