Car Accidents in California
In the Golden State, it is incredibly common for victims to suffer serious injuries as a result of motor vehicle accidents. In most cases, innocent people are injured as a result of drivers who are reckless and negligent. When drivers fail to maintain their vehicles in a safe and responsible manner, they continue to cause harm to innocent motorists who are traveling on the roads nearby.
Some of the most common factors identified in motor vehicle accidents across our state include:
- Speeding: Every road in California has a posted speed limit. These speed limits are designed to allow vehicles to travel speed safely based on road conditions and various other factors. When drivers go above the posted speed limits, they can cause serious accidents that leave victims with devastating injuries.
- Intoxication: Drivers who are under the influence are more likely to cause motor vehicle accidents that leave victims of severe injuries. Intoxicated drivers often have a problem staying awake, staying in their lanes, and stopping at intersections or in busy areas.
- Running red lights: When approaching intersections that have red lights, it is important that drivers stop. This allows other drivers to pass through without any risk of being harmed. Unfortunately, we see many accidents take place as a result of drivers who run red lights and intersections. This can result in serious accidents with even more severe injuries. Unfortunately, intersections are the location of more than half of the accidents that occur in our state.
