Dexcom Class Action Lawsuit

(September 24, 2025)

Wilshire Law Firm is pursuing legal action against Dexcom, Inc. for falsely advertising its G7 Continuous Glucose Monitor as “the most accurate CGM system available” in spite of evidence to the contrary detailed by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

What Happened?

On March 4, 2025, the FDA issued a Warning Letter to Dexcom citing serious issues with the G7:

  • Manufacturing Problems: Inadequate monitoring and validation during production.
  • Unapproved Design Changes: A major change to the sensor coating was made without proper FDA clearance, leading to greater variability in accuracy.
  • Insufficient Risk Analysis: The device’s use with automated insulin dosing (AID) systems was not properly assessed for safety.

The FDA determined that these devices were misbranded and adulterated because critical modifications were marketed without approval. This directly contradicts Dexcom’s claims that the G7 is the “most accurate CGM,” especially during rapid glucose changes.

What You Can Do:

If you are in Washington D.C., Pennsylvania, California, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Washington, Illinois, Florida, Oregon, or New Mexico, and have proof that you purchased the G7 after December 13, 2023, you may be entitled to compensation.
